In 1933, the Community Fair was held at Dentsville School for the third time, being arranged by T.B. Waters, the agriculture teacher of the school. While the exhibits were fewer than they had been in previous years, they were of higher quality. They included a baseball game between the pupils and teachers (which was won by the students, 20-8), a mule race, the climbing of a greased pole, and the catching of a greased pig. At the top of the greased pole was a dollar bill; no one reached it, but it was given to Lewis Martin, who was closer to it than anyone else.
