The Dentsville Plays of 1932

In December of 1932, a program featuring Christmas music was put on at Dentsville Methodist Church, arranged by Mrs. J.K. Ewart and her music students. A Christmas pageant, “Love Lights the Christmas Tree,” was also held at the church, where Sunday school students assisted with the production. The characters in the pageant included: “Christmas”, “Peace”, “Joy”, “Hope”, “Kindness”, and “Love”, played by Lina Mae Smith, Katherine Koon, Gladdys Martin, Lois Ewart, Norma Smith, and Emma Tucker, respectively.

Meanwhile, a play titled “Miss Adventure” was performed at Dentsville School, and was considered a riveting success. Directed by Miss Mignon Wald, the play was praised for its romance, comedy, and talented cast of actors.
